‘The Acorn’ is the first of a collective of spaces anchored in the vision of cultivating community through self expression, radical self-awareness, and the exploration of altered states of consciousness.
Piece by piece; screw by screw; from a hand mixed bucket of concrete to a mantra infused, sage painted base - ‘The Acorn’ was built. The space has held countless, humbling moments of transformation, connection, and cultivation of community that knows that when it is here, it belongs.
Bold and geometric. Sacred and multidimensional.
Intimate and strong. Eccentric and womb-like.
A 16’ x 16’, 13’ high temple.

singing with our ancestors in times of crisis
When crisis comes to us collectively or individually, we can feel consumed by the chaos. Uprooted from our previous way of life, we can easily lose our connection to what and who is still with us, and the knowing we have in our bones.
No matter your background, you have ancestors that can and want to help you navigate this world. Many of us have just forgotten how to start the conversation.
Come for a night of remembering our luminous ancestors and those who maybe aren’t so luminous but have given us the wisdom to choose a different path. All of them are part of us, and in remembering them we remember our own unconditional belonging to the web of life.
Please bring a small offering this week like flowers or fruit to put in our central altar. We will start with warmups, have the chance to share stories or memories from our ancestors, and sing our connections back to them. Our connections don’t need to be neat or pretty. We seek the honest and alive experience of being human, because that is what helps us meet times of crisis.
